Garage Differentiator
How is Garage Different?
The difference isn’t what we teach. It’s what we make you do. Every framework gets tested on your actual business.
What most programs teach
  • 'Digital marketing' as a 40-slide deck
  • Strategy frameworks with no execution.
  • 'Sales' as a textbook concept
  • 'Finance' with no real money on the line
  • 'Go-to-market' as a theoretical chapter
  • A certificate you can't defend in an interview
What Garage gives you instead
  • Run Meta ads that convert – hooks, creatives, CPA tracking
  • Build a storefront that converts visitors into buyers
  • Run a real sales funnel – scripts, follow-ups, close rates
  • Manage cash, pricing, and margins with real money on the line
  • Use AI and no-code to ship an MVP without a tech team
  • A live business, real P&L, and a VC deck you can defend
Week-by-Week Curriculum
Weeks 1–3
Idea Validation
  • 10 customer interviews before Week 3
  • Stress-test 4–5 ideas with your mentor
  • Pick your business model — SaaS, D2C, marketplace, or services
Output:

Validated idea. Business model locked.

Weeks 4–6
Build and Launch
  • Live dropshipping store — first sale within 2 weeks
  • Run Meta Ads, build a converting website, track real P&L
  • Ship your startup MMVP with no-code and AI tools
Output:

First revenue. First MVP. Real P&L running.

Weeks 7–9
Sell and Grow
  • Scale ads, build sales funnels, run WhatsApp sequences
  • Track product-market fit signals on your own startup
Output:

Rs.50K dropshipping target in sight. Startup getting paying customers.

Weeks 10–12
Pitch and Graduate
  • Build your investor deck — storytelling, unit economics, defence rounds
  • Demo Day in Bangalore — real VCs, real capital on the table
Output:

Funded or investor-ready. Either way, you leave with proof.

Co-founded & Incubated at Mesa
Mumbai Pav Company

Mumbai Pav Company is a quick service restaurant QSR that delivers authentic Mumbai-style street food in Bangalore.

MPC was founded by Jash Arora & Tanay Agarwal, two students from the founding cohort at Mesa. They formulated, clarified & tested their business as part of Mesa Startup Lab, and have seen tremendous growth in the last 1.5 years:

1
Identify a Product
Find a real customer problem and choose a product category.
2
Source & Manage Inventory
Work with suppliers, negotiate margins, and handle stock.
3
Build an Online Presence
Create your website, social media, and marketplace profiles.
4
Sell & Hit Revenue Targets
Sell online and at flea markets; earn 5L in revenue
Tanay Agarwal & Jash Arora

Focus over everything—that’s what Mesa taught us.

We built Mumbai Pav Co. by doubling down on what worked, not chasing every idea. From marketing to retention to fundraising, Mesa played a key role—bringing in mentors, investors, and hands-on support.

Everaw Nutrition

Everaw’s signature range is Super Spreads, which contributes about 78 percent of revenue, and it was piloted, launched, and scaled during Mesa’s business building sprint, BYOB.

Lucky entered Mesa at the ideation and family-and-friends sampling stage. The first public feedback came at Mesa’s pitch showdown, which he won through public voting. That win triggered structured testing.

Within days of the BYOB briefing on 2 July 2024, Lucky and Yash defined a new child-focused spread concept and began rapid prototyping on campus. Over 10 weeks they reached roughly 500 customers and generated about ₹2.5 lakh in rezvenue, using the sprint to test pricing, flavours, and packaging without brand pressure.

By Lucky Soni, Cohort 1

Mesa sharpened both sides of the business — the thinking and the doing.

Mock pitches forced precision. The VC class gave me term-sheet literacy and an investor's outside-in view. GTM frameworks shaped how we think about cross-sell, upsell, and packaging. On the ground, working with Epigamia through BSL showed me how scaled product teams actually run.

We closed ₹6 lakh in October without burning hard. AOV is above ₹1,000 and we're targeting 1,000 orders a month. First cheques coming soon — building Everaw into a pantry staple.

Who is Startup Garage For?
01
The Aspiring Builder
You have ideas maybe a few of them. You want to start something but don't know which idea to bet on or where to begin. You need direction, structure, and someone to hold you accountable.

The Employed Dreamer
You have a stable job and can't quit yet but want to build on the side. Weekend-only format. Validate it, get traction, and make the leap with conviction rather than fear.

Startup Garage is for aspiring founders, employed professionals who want to build on the side, and recent graduates who want to start their career as a builder. If you have an idea — or even just the desire to start something — this program is built for you.

Approximately 15 hours per week — split across weekend masterclasses and weekday building sessions. The program is designed for people who are working or studying full-time.

No. Many of our best participants arrive without a fixed idea. The first three weeks are specifically designed to help you find, validate, and commit to one. You just need the drive to build.

Every participant runs a live dropshipping business regardless of their startup idea. You pick a product, build a store, run ads, and try to hit Rs.50K in revenue. The skills are directly transferable to your own startup.

A multi-day immersion at the end of the program — VC showcase, flea market sales day, and Demo Day pitches. Top 4 teams receive Rs.5 lakh in equity-free funding from the Mesa fund.

No — it is awarded to the top 4 teams based on progress, traction, and Demo Day pitch. All participants get real investor feedback. The funding is equity-free with no dilution or strings attached.

MSL is Mesa's in-house incubator — a year-long, full-time founder track in Bengaluru backed by Elevation Capital. The best Garage graduates are invited to continue building inside MSL, with access to Mesa's Rs.5 Cr fund and a live VC network.

Yes. Two scholarship tiers — 40% off for Early Bird applicants (5 seats) and 30% off for Round 1 applicants (10 seats). Scholarships are allocated at the interview stage. Apply early to maximise your chances.
