A 60-minute online test, the MAT takes a unique place here at Mesa. The MAT goes beyond a standard test format and has video & written sections with on-the-spot prompts.
Here, we want to know your journey so far. We will give you a set format within which you can tell us about the extracurriculars you have excelled in, the leadership positions you have stepped in, the projects you have worked on, the instruments your play and so on!
We follow a 2-step interview process. In Round 1, you will have to talk through any idea you have & answer 5 key questions about it. We will help you with resources & videos to excel in this round. Round 2 will be with a founder at Mesa to assess your fitment with the Mesa program!
Create your account on the application portal & attend a webinar that deep-dives into our program.
Book your slot for our online 60-minute test – ensure you’re well prepped since you can only take the test once!

Mesa’s Undergraduate Program in Business Management & Entrepreneurship is a 4-year, full-time, residential program designed for students who want to build, innovate, and lead. It blends academic learning with real-world startup experience through founder’s office internships, real business-building, global immersions, and live startup challenges.
Taught by top professors and startup leaders, the curriculum prepares students for entrepreneurship and high-impact startup roles —offering a hands-on, immersive business education unlike any other.
Mesa School of Business is not a UGC-accredited higher education institution and does not offer degrees. Students who complete all Undergraduate Business Management & Entrepreneurship Program requirements will earn a professional certificate.
Students also have the option to enroll in a UGC-recognized online Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (BBA). This provides greater career flexibility, allowing them to pursue a Master’s degree abroad through exams like the GRE, apply for work visas for international migration, pursue an MBA in India or abroad through exams like CAT and GMAT, or qualify for government jobs such as IAS and IPS via the UPSC exam.
The degree program operates independently, and Mesa School of Business students can apply for and pursue it in parallel while studying at the Mesa campus in Bangalore. The degree is awarded separately, and admission is solely at the discretion of the university. Students must meet all university requirements to earn the degree. As per regulations, online degrees are equivalent to those gained through traditional, in-person programs.
The program spans four years, designed to provide a strong academic foundation and specialized expertise. The first two years focus on building rigorous fundamentals and broad-based learning, ensuring students develop a well-rounded perspective. Students dive into specialized domains in the third and fourth years, gaining in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience to prepare them for leadership roles in entrepreneurship and high-growth startups.
Mesa’s curriculum is designed to blend business fundamentals with real-world startup experience. The coursework is divided into five key areas:
Courses are taught by top professors from global business schools and startup leaders, ensuring that learning is both rigorous and practical.
At Mesa, we believe startups offer some of the most dynamic and high-growth career opportunities. Working in a startup means high ownership, direct collaboration with leadership, and hands-on decision-making from day one. These roles accelerate learning, build problem-solving skills, and open doors to rapid career growth. Our goal is for each student to secure a meaningful, high-impact role in a fast-growing company or successfully launch their own venture. Whether joining a startup’s core team or building something from scratch, Mesa prepares students to thrive in the real world.
Mesa provides end-to-end career support to prepare students for entrepreneurship and startup leadership. Our structured 250-hour career preparation program covers resume building, LinkedIn optimization, interview coaching, and networking strategies. Students gain hands-on experience through founder’s office internships and projects while deepening their expertise through domain primers, sector deep dives, and rigorous mock interviews. Whether launching a venture or joining a high-growth startup, Mesa ensures students graduate equipped to lead and innovate.
Mesa Startup Lab (MSL), our in-house venture studio, provides hands-on support for students building startups. Students get tailored mentorship from top founders and operators, non-dilutive funding from our ₹5 crore fund, and dedicated support across product, marketing, hiring, and fundraising from our dedicated portfolio support team. They also gain direct access to leading investors, including Elevation Capital. Mesa offers ongoing funding, workspace, and stipends for those continuing beyond the program to help scale their ventures.
Mesa offers global immersion opportunities designed to give students exposure to international startup ecosystems, top tech companies, and emerging business trends. These opportunities are not compulsory, but they provide invaluable insights, networking, and real-world learning that can significantly enhance a student’s entrepreneurial journey.
Student life at Mesa is vibrant, fast-paced, and deeply immersive, reflecting the energy of a startup ecosystem. The residential campus fosters a strong sense of community, where students live, learn, and build together. With 15+ clubs and societies, students can explore their interests across public speaking, debate, product building, performing arts, sports, content creation, growth hacking, and more.
The ideal student for Mesa’s Undergraduate Program is someone who has completed 12th standard in any stream and is curious, ambitious, and excited about building and solving real-world problems. We’re looking for students who are not just interested in business but want to take action—whether by launching their own venture, working in a fast-growing startup, or exploring new ideas. You should be a self-starter, eager to learn by doing, and willing to take on challenges.
You can add your entrance examination scores (such as SAT, ACT, or any other relevant test) to your application, but there is no cut-off or specific score requirement. Mesa has its own Mesa Admissions Test (MAT), which is designed to evaluate key skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication. Admissions are based on a holistic review rather than just test scores, ensuring we select students with the right mindset and potential for the program.
The application process is a rigorous 5-step process:
The Mesa Admissions Test (MAT) is a 60-minute online test designed to assess problem-solving, logical reasoning, communication skills, and on-the-feet thinking. It focuses on real-world decision-making rather than rote learning. There is no cut-off score, as admissions are based on a holistic evaluation that includes your application, essays, and interviews.
No, currently Mesa does not offer an option to defer admission. If applicants are unable to join the program in the current year, they can apply again for the next intake.
Admission to Mesa’s Undergraduate Program is highly competitive, as we are looking for students with a strong entrepreneurial mindset, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment. We receive a large number of applications but intentionally keep our cohort size small to ensure a high-quality, immersive experience. The best way to strengthen your application is to showcase initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to build and take action.
Yes, of course! You don’t need to have started a business to apply. Mesa is designed for students who are curious, ambitious, and eager to build—whether it’s a startup, a high-impact career, or something entirely new. We look for problem-solvers, creative thinkers, and individuals who take initiative. If you have the drive to learn and take action, Mesa will give you the tools, mentorship, and experience to turn your ideas into reality.
No, Mesa does not have an official early decision or early action process. However, applying early is highly recommended as it increases your chances of admission and access to more scholarship opportunities. Since we have a rolling admissions process, early applicants also get a higher likelihood of securing a spot before the cohort fills up.
Mesa’s Undergraduate Program is fully residential because building, collaborating, and learning happen best in an immersive, in-person environment. Startups thrive on constant iteration, teamwork, and problem-solving, and we believe a campus that fosters 24/7 collaboration mirrors this reality. Living on campus allows students to engage deeply with peers, work on real-world startup challenges, and build strong relationships with mentors and faculty. It also creates a tight-knit, high-energy community where students learn not just in classrooms, but through daily interactions, late-night brainstorms, and hands-on projects—just like in the real startup world.
Mesa’s accommodation is located less than 2kms from the campus, providing a comfortable and secure living environment for all students. The housing is designed to foster collaboration, community, and an immersive learning experience. Safety is a top priority. The accommodation includes 24/7 security, controlled access, CCTV monitoring, and dedicated residential staff. Additionally, students have access to recreational spaces, study areas, and essential amenities to ensure a well-balanced and enriching campus life.
Mesa’s Bangalore Urban Campus is designed to keep students at the heart of the startup ecosystem rather than in an isolated academic setting. Located in a premium co-working space, students are surrounded by 500+ startups within a 5km radius, offering constant exposure to the real-world business environment. Everything students need is within a 2km radius, including world-class sports facilities, gyms, innovation labs, libraries, and wellness centers.
The total fee for Mesa’s 4-year Undergraduate Program is ₹48,00,000, inclusive of GST. The annual breakdown is ₹17,00,000 in Year 1, ₹12,00,000 each in Years 2 and 3, and ₹7,00,000 in Year 4. This excludes optional global immersion expenses and accommodation costs, which start at approximately ₹3,00,000 per year.
Mesa offers a range of scholarships based on the quality of your application & interviews helping to reduce tuition fees significantly. In addition, we assist students with education loans through our official financial partners, including HDFC Credila, IDFC Bank, and Grayquest. We prioritize the quality of our cohort, and we strive to support students who demonstrate high potential but may need financial assistance to join the program.
Early application is encouraged as financial aid is often distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’re someone looking for generous scholarships, ensure you apply early. The rest depends on the quality of your application.
Education loans through our partners are subject to approval based on creditworthiness and other factors. We advise candidates to review the terms, interest rates, repayment conditions, and other details directly with the financial institutions. The admissions team is there to support you through this process.
