Inside a Mesa classroom
A week on building brands: global campaigns, what makes a brand iconic, and a live review of Diwali 2025 ads from some of India’s largest brands.
How you learn: the case method
#Case study · Sugarfit
Sugarfit helps people control, and even reverse, diabetes through personalised programmes: continuous glucose monitoring, doctor-led plans and lifestyle coaching.
The question
Then Apple Fitness+ and Fitbit entered India. How does a local, human-centred startup stay ahead, and scale personalisation without losing empathy?
What students did
#Case study · Neeman’s
Neeman’s launched in 2018 with shoes made from merino wool, organic cotton and used tyres. By 2025 it had grown from online-only D2C to 20 exclusive stores, with sights set on 100.
The question
How does a sustainable D2C brand scale without losing its authenticity, and balance online control with offline reach?
What students did

Your target: ₹5L+ in sales revenue in the first 8 weeks of the programme.

Sidak Singh ran operations and growth at Nutrabay, Unacademy and CoinDCX; Priyal Jain came from McKinsey. They met in Mesa’s second cohort. Cozy Bear was the first brand either had built.
Indian home decor is mostly generic or expensive, with little in between. Cozy Bear makes playful, design-led products, from rugs to everyday decor.
In BYOB they priced, set up payments and tested channels. Mesa introductions led to collaborations with mCaffeine, MuscleBlaze and Anupam Mittal.
₹40 lakh in revenue in its first year.
“We didn’t have a perfect idea, just six weeks and an underserved market. Our first sale told us people wanted it, and gave us the confidence to keep going.”
Sidak Singh Saluja & Priyal Jain, Co-founders, Cozy Bear
Ananta Khandelwal, Hasmitha Rangaswamy, Sushmitha Sarlana and Vasudeva Kashyap built XOCO from scratch in Cohort 4.
Bangalore’s hot chocolate demand peaks in winter. XOCO met it with ₹149 real-cocoa sachets that melt in 60 seconds.
At flea markets they kept testing pitches, locations and customers; an AI-powered game at the stall drew crowds. As they put it, the product is 40% of the business; selling it is the other 60.
Hands-on experience across sales, marketing, operations and finance.
“A good product gives you something worth selling. Everything else determines whether it actually gets sold.”
Hasmitha Rangaswamy, Co-founder, XOCO
Aaradhy Jani runs Mesa’s Leverage finance club. Arihant Jain, 18, had already spent nine years helping run his family business in Chhattisgarh.
Most coin khakhra is palm oil and maida, sold loose and unlabelled. Saras Che uses rice bran oil and whole wheat, in 14 labelled flavours. It started on consignment in one store in JP Nagar, Bengaluru.
12+ stores reorder monthly, with zero ad spend. Samples at Mumbai’s CMPL Expo brought ₹90 lakh in leads and ₹40 lakh in orders, and a ₹60 lakh retail-chain contract is signed for FY27.
A ₹2 crore-a-month pipeline of export and distributor leads, limited by supply.
“I want a company that runs on systems, not on me being present. If Saras Che still needs me in the room in five years, I have built a job, not a business.”
Aaradhy Jani, Co-founder, Saras Che

Founded by Aravind Mutthi & Dr Ravi Teja
Premium real estate asks for tickets most professionals can’t write. FabInvest pools investors into single premium projects through an SPV, listing only RERA-approved projects. Incubated in Mesa’s first cohort, it has completed 10 projects in Hyderabad and Bangalore, with most since its third oversubscribed.
“Ideas and execution can also be poles apart. In the end, it is only 10% what the idea is, and 90% how you execute it.”
Aravind Mutthi, Founder
Founded by Lucky Soni, Yash Soni & Kanika Kishnani
Children’s snacks usually trade ingredients for taste. Everaw makes clean-label spreads and freeze-dried fruit snacks with no added sugar or preservatives. It started in BYOB, with ₹2.5 lakh in revenue in ten weeks, then took sixteen months of R&D before reaching Shark Tank India in March 2026.
“If a kid grows up listening to Led Zeppelin, chances are they will like it as an adult too. The same goes for healthy eating habits.”
Lucky Soni, Co-founder
Founded by Krishnavi Parekh
Women run a quiet safety checklist on every late ride. Sakhi is a women-only auto service: verified women drivers, women passengers, and no surge pricing. Founded by an actuary from TATA AIA, it launched on 14 February 2026, and passengers are already asking for monthly commute subscriptions.
“Women feel that they have to stay alert whenever they are travelling. I felt it was long overdue that we get rid of that anxiety.”
Krishnavi Parekh, Founder & CEO
Founded by Arnav Gupta & Rishabh Agarwal
Rishabh found the idea in BYOB: insect control was chemical-heavy and badly designed. Bloc makes non-toxic, design-first products for homes and hospitality, at a 20x return on ad spend. Sales are paused while the team upgrades the product, returning in Q4 2026.
“Unlike traditional mosquito repellents and sprays, Bloc’s products are non-toxic, design-first, and built for modern spaces.”
Arnav Gupta & Rishabh Agarwal, Co-founders
Founded by Jeremy Abraham & Pranav Hegde
Job applications are up 300% while callback rates sit below 2%. Studojo finds verified hiring-manager contacts and sends personalised outreach for the student. Students from IIT Madras, King’s College London and NTU Singapore have had replies from Figma, BCG and Amazon. Backed by Microsoft for Startups and Google for Startups.
“Job boards are dead. Posting your resume into a black hole and hoping someone notices is not a career strategy. It’s a lottery.”
Jeremy Abraham, CEO
Founded by Ashish Sagar
A $90 billion credit gap pushes small farmers into loans at 24–60% interest. Future Farming turns smallholder farms into an investable asset through crop-backed agri-bonds, managing land from capital to harvest. Proven on a 10-acre pilot, now across Maharashtra and Bihar, and selected into WTFund’s latest cohort.
“We are the first compliant platform creating a true agri-asset class, not just a lender.”
Ashish Sagar, Founder
Founded by Apoorva Singhal, Raj Nathwani & Shruti Bhudolia
The founders met in BYOB, and didn’t get into the Lab on their first pitch. They kept pitching, narrowed the team to three, and sharpened the idea: bite-sized khakhras with 15–20% fewer calories. Knacks has since crossed ₹30 lakh in lifetime revenue.
“Earlier this year I told myself: this is the year I build something of my own.”
Shruti Bhudolia, Co-founder
Founded by Harsh Chaudhary
Families are leaving traditional schools, but most homeschool products are video libraries. SuperSheldon is a fully online homeschool for Grades 1–8: eight kids from eight countries and two teachers in every class, an in-house curriculum, and a ‘mother teacher’ tracking each child.
“The product is the room. Eight kids, eight countries, two teachers.”
Harsh Chaudhary, Founder & CEO
Founded by Surya Maddula
Every noise-cancelling product sits inside a pair of headphones. Whisperwave cancels noise in the room itself, with AI running on sub-$10 chips. Surya builds the firmware, models and cloud himself; four enterprises, including an ICU, have signed LOIs, and he was selected into Entrepreneurs First in San Francisco.
Founded by Arjun M S
Vets are too busy to type through every visit, and clinics lose revenue inside their own workflows. Vetqure’s AI writes clinical notes, catches revenue leakage and keeps hospitals connected to pet parents between visits. Top 10 nationally at India’s largest GenAI hackathon.
Founded by Samyak Jain
Building-material dealers depend on third-party brands and watch their margins shrink. MyInfra helps them launch their own private-label brands, handling manufacturing, sourcing, marketing and sales support. A second-time B2B founder, Samyak has built a dealer network across North India, growing month on month.

The Mesa cohort comprises exceptional & diverse candidates. We are committed to eliminating all financial barriers for these outstanding candidates, guaranteeing an unparalleled peer learning experience.
Apply nowWe offer various financing options for our students, each designed with flexibility and convenience in mind, allowing you to focus on your studies without financial worry.
Students, once offered a seat, gain access to Mesa's loan partners for short & long term loan options, covering 100% of their tuition fees, with up to 12 years in loan tenure.
Working professionals with at least 5 years of full-time experience who want to keep their job while they grow. Most come with one of four goals: moving into leadership, changing direction, starting a business, or growing a family business.
About 10 hours. A live class on Saturday morning (2.5 hours), a founder session or lab on Sunday (1.5 hours), a team check-in on one weekday evening (1 hour), and about 5 hours of reading and project work whenever suits you. Weeks close to a sprint deadline can be busier.
Every class is recorded. The assignment for that class is still due, and your group will still expect your part.
Cameras stay on, you read the case before class, and faculty cold-call. Every class has an assignment, and faculty and operators hold office hours when you are stuck.
You start together on campus in Bangalore and come back through the year. In between there are city meetups with founders, operators and Mesa alumni, regular founder sessions where you work on a problem they are facing right now, and warm introductions based on what you need.
No. Classes are online. You come to campus six times for 3 days each: orientation, four blocks for exams and assessments, and graduation. You may need to take leave for some of these. If you do live in Bangalore, you can also attend selected classes on campus.
Ascend is a postgraduate programme (PGP) from Mesa School of Business, like every Mesa programme. It is not a university degree.
There is no placement guarantee. Ascend is built for people who stay employed through the programme. What you do get is a career coach from month one, a curated job board from Mesa's hiring partners and alumni, 1:1 interview prep and mock interviews once you are shortlisted, and resume and LinkedIn reviews.
A course gives you content. In Ascend you also run a real business with a ₹5L revenue target, ship an AI fix at your own job and work on live startup problems, with a cohort, mentors and time on campus.
There are beginner and advanced tracks, and the tool stack is refreshed every cohort. Everyone applies AI to their own problem, so the difficulty scales with what you choose to build.
Yes. The beginner track starts with AI for everyday productivity and no-code building. Your project is a problem you already understand from your own work.
You don't need one. In the D2C sprint you choose from ideas we have already vetted. The Mesa Startup Lab is there if an idea of your own appears along the way.
Yes. The Mesa Startup Lab takes you from idea to validation, MVP, launch and first customers with a 1:1 founder mentor, and ends with a pitch to VCs and angels at Demo Day. You test the idea while your salary keeps coming in.
Yes. A 1:1 mentor helps you diagnose the business and run one growth project, such as a new vertical, a D2C channel or digitisation. Your AI project can be built on a problem from your own business.
The fee is ₹22,00,000 to ₹23,00,000 depending on the round you apply in, plus 18% GST. It covers all classes, mentoring, ₹1L of starting capital for your BYOB team, career coaching and lifelong Mesa membership. Global immersions are paid separately, and you arrange your own travel and stay for campus visits.
Yes. There are six scholarships for different profiles, including ex-founders, women leaders and veterans. Once you are offered a seat, Mesa's loan partners offer loans covering up to 100% of tuition, with tenures of up to 12 years.
They are optional and paid separately, with pricing shared up front. Whether one destination is included is TBC.
Your Mesa membership continues for life: free bootcamps when AI and tools change, career support on every future move, access to mentors and the alumni network, and an open invitation back to campus classes.
