It is designed for students after Class 12 who want to understand how a business works by taking part in the work themselves.

How learning develops across four years

You begin with the foundations of a business: understanding customers, choosing a market, reading financial information and developing an offer. Alongside this, you work with AI and product tools to turn an idea into something you can demonstrate and test.

In the first year, our curriculum introduces marketing strategy, financial reporting, microeconomics, venture development, product management and entrepreneurial finance. Students build a D2C brand and an AI product, then take their first Founder’s Office internship in Semester 2.

The second year develops these foundations through digital and growth marketing, operations, entrepreneurial selling, brand strategy, AI product management and decision science. A Gen AI Product Lab and a second internship connect the subjects with further practical work.

In the third year, you explore areas such as customer management, platform strategy, negotiation, teams and startup regulation. Electives allow you to pursue particular interests, while Creator Garage adds content-building experience and the third internship extends your time inside a company.

The final year offers a longer period in a startup or on your own business. Students choosing the venture route can apply to Mesa Startup Lab, where selection is separate. Our current brochure sets out the semester structure; ask Admissions about course choices and schedules for your intake.

Business cases that ask you to make decisions

Our 75+ cases bring founders’ and operators’ business questions into the classroom. A few past examples include Neeman’s growth-roadmap decisions, d’you’s quick-commerce portfolio, Comet’s marketplace operations and Scapia’s traveller engagement. The specific mix may change across intakes.

These assignments connect subjects that are often studied separately. A channel choice affects the customer experience, operations and margins. A product decision also needs a view of demand, pricing and execution. You learn to explain how those choices fit together.

Building products and businesses

Our building experiences cover a D2C brand through Build Your Own Business, an AI product through Build Your Own Product and a content channel through Creator Garage. In the final year, students may choose the venture pathway and apply to Mesa Startup Lab.

In our first cohort, 24 teams of approximately four to five students each generated ₹75 lakh in collective revenue during the eight-week Build Your Own Business (BYOB) period. This is business revenue, not profit or a payment to each student.

Our first-cohort students built Saras Che during BYOB, taking the snack brand from idea to supplier sourcing and launch and generating ₹5 lakh in revenue over those eight weeks. Other UG venture examples in the Mesa Startup Lab portfolio include Whisperwave, AI Job Hunter and Swirlo Desserts. Krrish Goel’s exporter prototype shows another form of product building.

Internships and access to the startup ecosystem

Our three regular internships are in the even semesters 2, 4 and 6. In the final year, students may take another full-time internship or work on a business; Mesa Startup Lab support requires a separate selection.

Our UG students have interned at companies including Zomato, Grapevine, Hyperpure, Emversity, goSTOPS, Ultrahuman and Frido. The role, company and stipend depend on the opportunity and the student’s profile and selection process.

Our institution-wide network of 500+ startups and organizations supports UG projects, mentoring, founder conversations and internship introductions. Specific internships depend on the host’s role and student selection.

Global learning opportunities

We offer four optional global immersion opportunities with additional fees. Our first cohort completed the first window, including a six-week Silicon Valley stay based in Mountain View. That duration is an example, not a fixed format for every immersion. We are planning the next window in an even semester in 2027 for Cohorts 1 and 2.

Immersion fees are additional. We share each itinerary, dates, participation requirements and price as the visit is planned; Admissions can clarify the current options.

Fees and the parallel degree route

The current four-year program fee is ₹48 lakh. Accommodation is listed separately at ₹3.5 lakh per year. If that rate applies for all four years, program fees and accommodation together would be ₹62 lakh, before immersion fees and other personal or separately charged costs. This is a planning illustration; your fee and housing documents determine what applies to you.

Scholarships of up to 75% of tuition are available to selected high-performing candidates. Financing through partner lenders depends on approval and the lender’s terms. Ask Admissions for the current fee, housing, scholarship and refund documents for your intake.

Our non-degree UG certificate can be combined with a separately enrolled online BBA. NMIMS and IIM Bangalore are options our students commonly choose; other distance-learning universities are possible. The university sets its own eligibility, exams, fees and award. We provide study support, including exam-preparation bootcamps.

Applying for August 2027

For the August 2027 intake, students who completed Class 12 boards in 2026 or will complete them in 2027 may apply from any stream; one gap year is allowed. Begin with the online information session, then take the Mesa Admissions Test and submit your application. Shortlisted candidates proceed to group discussion and interview rounds.

Check the active round and deadline on our UG program page when you apply.
